FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BEING LATINO, INC. ANNOUNCES NEW ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM ROLES

Coming off of a two-day removal of their fan page from Facebook, which Facebook ultimately apologized for, Being Latino is more determined to continue its growth and fulfill its mission. To this end, Founder/President Lance Ríos has named the following individuals to the newly created positions:

  • Former Managing Editor Libby Juliá Vázquez has been named Executive Vice President of Blogger relations. In this role, Libby will remain the managing editor of the blog while taking on more responsibility in the area of public relations and marketing; specifically concentrating on building relationships and participating in speaking engagements in Chicago on behalf of Being Latino.
  • Staff Writer Ulises Silva has been named Copy Editor. In this role, he will continue as a writer while taking on many of the editing/formatting functions of the blog.
  • General Coordinator Tatiana Perez has been named Philanthropy Director. She will assume responsibility for the coordination of all of Being Latino’s philanthropic efforts.

Being Latino, Inc.’s all-volunteer staff also includes a videographer /producer/director, a digital illustrator, Twitter community manager, 15 staff writers, and 16 regular blog contributors.

Founded in May 2009 with the mission to be a communication platform designed to educate and connect all peoples across the global Latino spectrum, Being Latino, Inc. has grown to be the largest Latino-centered fan page on Facebook with over 51,000 fans and a popular blog.
