BEING LATINO, INC. PROMOTES STAFF AND GETS A NAME CHANGE
As of Monday, January 24, 2011 the Being Latino Blog has changed its name to Being Latino Online Magazine.
The Being Latino Blog was launched in September 2009 with one contributor, founder Lance Ríos.
In just a little less than two years it has grown to a staff that includes:
- Chief Content Officer, Libby Juliá Vázquez
- Managing Editor, Ulises Silva
- Copy Editor, Nicolle Morales Kern
- Ten staff writers
- Twenty-two contributors
Founder and Presidente, Lance Ríos said, “After a discussion with Chief Content Officer, Libby Juliá Vázquez, we decided that the name ‘Online Magazine’ was a better fit for the type of content we are producing. Our writers are extremely talented and put in a ton of hard work to make each one of their pieces intellectually entertaining for the readers. Being Latino is so much more than a blog.”
With the elevated quality of its content—and in light of the partnership with national news organization, Fox News Latino—the change to Online Magazine was the natural next step.
