This legendary designer, who was born in San Domingo, Dominican Republic, has designed for labels such as Balenciaga and Elizabeth Arden. He launched his own label in 1965 and has won a few awards such as Council of Fashion Designers, and Designer of the Year Awards in 2000 and 2007.

BL Top 5 – Latino festivals in the US

1.  National Puerto Rican Parade New York City, NY

The annual parade takes place on the 2nd Sunday in June in honor of the 4 million inhabitants of Puerto Rico residing in the US. The parade starts on Fifth Avenue on 44th street in New York City and goes up to 86th Street. It attracts more than 80,000 participants and 2 millions spectators along the route.
