Why the MPAA loves SOPA [INFOGRAPHIC]

At the core of the SOPA debate is the Motion Picture Association of America, more commonly known as the MPAA. This organization is one of the original proponents and supporters of the SOPA legislation, as it would legally give them the right to censor nearly every ‘copyright infringement’ on the internet that they feel would threaten them financially.

The MPAA actually has a long history of trying to threaten and control innovation and copyrights in the name of profit, and SOPA is merely the latest way they hope to accomplish it.
