Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor made headlines this year when she became the first Latina to grace the bench.

Latina magazine voted Sotomayor as Latina of the decade, an award she solely much deserves for her accomplishments and no nonsense attitude. She isa great influence and icon to Latinos across the global spectrum.

Maybe another magazine can learn how to really vote for honorary Latinos and not just hand out awards to the most popular but then again, when quantity (for ratings)  and not quality is involved, anything is possible.
